Turkey Day!
For Thanksgiving, the girls and i joined my parents for a trip to Iowa to see my Grandma, Aunt and Uncle. My cousin and his family were also there. The 3 days were filled with playing, laughing, eating, and more eating. All I can say is that I am truly BLESSED to have such a terrific family!Wednesday, December 02, 2009

You are my Sunshine...
Isabelle and Sophia,
You both make me happy when skies are gray! And there have been some pretty gray skies the last few weeks...but every night that I come home from work, exhausted and crabby, you know how to make me forget. I'm thankful for all your hugs and kisses, smiles and giggles! I love you.
XOXOX

Happy Halloween!
Our halloween weekend was a blast! My school held a halloween carnival for the kids on Friday, so we took advantage of all the fun. Izzy loved playing the games...while Sophie slept through most of it. Oh, well. We invited Emily and her girls, Alyssa and Tristen, to go with us. On Saturday, we spent the evening with my parents. The girls were great helpers, passing out candy to all the scary ghosts and goblins that came to the door. I decided I would give the door-to-door trick or treating a try...so the girls and I hit the street. Mrs. Sara (who I work with) lives two houses down from my parents...so I figured it was a safe place to start. Both girls loved it so much, they wanted to go to the next house, then the next house, and so on. I can't wait for next year...

The perfect one...
We missed going to the pumpkin patch when we were in Minnesota due to the cold weather...so we did the next best thing, found a local pumpkin patch. I'm sure it wasn't as grand as the one in Minnesota, but it worked. All the proceeds go to the church youth group that sponsers the patch. The girls loved looking at all the pumpkins. Izzy picked out the perfect little ones for her and Sophie, while Tim found one for carving. Now the question is, what are we going to carve into that pumpkin?? Hmmmm...
"Mom, this one has bumps"

Oh, Izzy...
To much going on to focus on smiling for the camera
What a great day for pumpkin hunting!
