SKI FOR LIGHT 2007

Ok...I finally have a few minutes to update this spot. This year's SFL was AMAZING!! For those of you not very familiar with this event, we are an organization that promotes outdoor activities for blind/disabled individuals. Our big event every year is a ski program. Check out the website for more info. www.bhsfl.org

It was a year full of changes, we were at Terry Peak instead of Deer Mountain. The cross country had a new venue as well. The old Wharf Mining land near the Deer Mountain turn off was where we called home for the week. It was wonderful. The trails were awesome...even though we started losing snow by the end of the week. You can see in one of the pictures that we had some of the old mining buildings around us, what a great historic feature. We were able to have a huge bonfire one night too.

I couldn't do any skiing/guiding this year...the doctor thought it might not be a good idea. However, I tried to help where I could. It also gave me the opportunity to visit with many different people, and catch up on everyone's lives. Lots can happen in a year. HAHA.
