Our Family Vacation!!
I had been looking forward to this trip for a long time! It took two days of packing and preparing to go...but I thought it was worth it. We loaded up the van and drove all day Saturday to get to Okaboji. Our resort was great, located right on the waters edge. The four of us stayed in a studio apartment (bigger version of a hotel room); Mary, Chris, Malaki, Mel, Tim, Charlie and Christina stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin and Linda and Tim stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We were all within walking distance of each other. The weather cooperated almost the whole time we were there...just little rain showers here and there. We enjoyed water time, jet skis, playing in the sand and shopping. One afternoon, we drove over to Arnold's Park- a little amusement park with games and rides. We were sad to leave, but Izzy was getting an ear infection and we desperately needed a night in our own beds. Hopefully we'll get back there again soon!!
