A Busy, Busy Week
This is the first time I've been able to sit down and take a deep breath since last Tuesday! The excitement started last Tuesday when Isabelle had to go to the SameDay Surgery Center to get her ear tubes inserted. The doctor thought it would help reduce her chronic ear infections. She was a real trooper, the procedure was probably harder on Tim and I than for her. :) Thursday evening we had dinner at Grandma Linda's waiting for the arrival of the Olson's. We all wish that they lived much closer. Friday morning we went to Reptile Gardens, which the kids seemed to enjoy. I think Izzy enjoyed the turtles the most! Saturday was filled with playing at Granma Pat's then off to the pool to celebrate Aunt Melissa's birthday! Everyone had a great time splashing around. Sunday was also a day of celebration, Sophie was baptized at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. We were so blessed to share the day with lots of friends and family. Monday morning we joined Tim, Melissa, Charlie and Granma Linda for breakfast before the Olson's headed home. I know Izzy was sad to see her cousin leave, they had lots of fun playing together! Later that day, Izzy came down with a 102.5 temp, which worried me. After spending over two hours at the doctors office, they couldn't tell me what was wrong. So the last two days have been miserable for her, however, the antibiotics seem to have kicked in to get rid of whatever was bothering her. And to top it off, I have been trying to get my classroom ready for 30 students and attending building leadership team meetings. WOW!!! What a week!!
