The Three Days of Christmas

On the First Day of Christmas...
We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house. We enjoyed the semi-traditional enchiladas and then opened gifts. The girls had a blast. We are so blessed that our parents live so close to us...especially during the holidays.

My first Christmas...and loving every minute of it!

On the Second Day of Christmas...
We spent Christmas morning at our house. It was quiet and relaxing. Santa brought the girls a Thomas the Train ball pit. They LOVED it! They wouldn't even get out to open their presents, so we had to hand them the presents which they opened inside the pit. We made rolls for breakfast, then headed to church with Tim's family. After church we spent the afternoon back at my parents. My mom out did herself by making a turkey dinner...but, man was it good! After dinner we bundled up and went across the street to StoryBook Island to look at all the Christmas lights. Izzy's new word is "pretty," so I'm sure you can imagine what we heard the whole way through the park. When we got back to my parents house we attempted to make 'home-made' ice cream (attempt is the key word...we definitely need more practice).

On the Third Day of Christmas...
On Sunday we spent the morning with Tim's family opening presents. We tried Saturday night, but the kiddos were to tired after a day of playing...so Sunday just worked better for everyone! The girls love being there with their cousins...you really see the excitement in their eyes!

Always smiling...
