52 Project: Week 4

For this week's project photo, I am going to do a side-by-side comparison on perspective...one that most people do not realize, but one that I am forced to think about while working with visually impaired folks.  The first photo is the cross country ski track - you can see the other guides and participants, you can see the beautiful trees and amazing blue sky.  The picture next to it is actually the same picture, however I blackened a large portion of it to see the perspective of a blind participant. Notice you can only see the very brightest points, but look at what is missing - and probably what most of us take for granted.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! That is definitely eye opening. Because of our dad, I have always thought about impairments like that and what they miss out on. I am jealous of your experiences with SFL and also proud of you for participating! I for sure see my neices doing the same. Love you guys!
