Two weeks ago, I headed to New Orleans for a conference...and took my mom along for some fun! I also met my friend Abby there, as we registered for the conference together. We had a great time playing tourist. Our hotel was downtown on Canal Street, which is within walking distance to the French Quarter and, of course, Bourbon Street. We had amazing food, a hurricane or two, listened to street musicians, checked out local artists and walked till we dropped! We toured the Garden District looking for famous celebrity houses, as well as took in New Orlean's shocking and twisted history through the Underworld City Tour!
Oh, and I attended the conference too. Did I mention that?
